Closet of a bedroom
My room in the fall--pre-furniture-arranging. It's quite small, and it looks smaller than it actually is here, but once things were moved around, it got a lot bigger. Or so it seemed.
More of the closet
Another blocked view of my room--the desk, window, and closet.
Great woodworking!
The window at the front of the house--the very front of the living room.
Front staircase
The view coming in the front door, looking up the stairs and down the hall that runs parallel to the living room, TV room, and office, and into the dining room (the door at the end of the hall).
Molding
The moulding in the living room of Alexandra's house. All the old woodworking, moulding, and accents had been restored from 1905, and it was an absolutely gorgeous house.
Looking down
Looking from the TV room, through the computer room, into the living room. Behind the picture is the dining room. Each one could be closed off, but the doors between them all could be opened up, too.
Backyard
Looking down off the roof into the backyard. There were more plants in there later on in the year, but this was when it was all much newer. The thing at the bottom, against the side of the house, is a fish point with no water in it.
Nurse
Dressed as a nurse for Alexandra's short film that she made for class--we filmed over a weekend in December, and I was dressed in a heavy, turn-of-the-century nurse's uniform.
NYPL
The front of the New York Public Library--the reading room was one of my favorite places to kill an afternoon with a good book.
The roof
Looking across the roof of Alexandra's house from the front to the back. Eventually there'll be a garden of some sort there, but for now, it's just a big open space.
