Sugar!

So here's the Froot Loop story. When we were kids, my parents would never buy us sugary cereal, except on Stampede Parade day. Then, we'd get a box of Froot Loops for breakfast, and it's a tradition that still lives on. This year, Colin and I each brought our traditional Stampede Parade breakfast foods: Froot Loops for me, puffed wheat squares for him.

Proud of it!!

Curves gyms were handing out little flags at the parade--I think they had a coupon or something on them, but the kids loved them. Highly amusing.

A future in advertising?

Police helper!

Jake was so proud of his "police helper" badge, and the cops who were on our block just loved him, too. They kept talking to him and hanging out with him, and he was so thrilled when they took a picture with him.

Zonked out

Getting up to be downtown for the parade is an early morning! Kayla fell asleep for a while during the pre-parade, but she was up and ready to go by the time the parade actually started.
