This old green dresser was put into the bathroom when the bathroom was created. It was very rickety, a bit smelly, and ready to be taken out! But... I remember this dresser from time when I was wee, kinda sentimental. Mt grandpa's brill creme used to go in the top drawer, with his hairbrush and toothpaste. I can still smell those scents when I opened the drawer.

This is what remains of the grey coat on the plaster, which was pressed in between the laths, like "keys" to hold the plaster on the wall. On top of the grey coat is a brown coat, then the finished smooth plaster that is painted. Quite a process!

The toilet will be turning to rest back against the internal wall that has the wallpaper on it. This will give more room for the shower.

You can see the sun streaming in from the front hall doorway. Don't let it fool you! I was outside peeing in very cold temperatures this day!

It is a root cellar basement, not finished, so the floors are open underneath. Yes the floor beams are cedar logs with the bark still on! Old too, over 100 years old now, I think! The plumbing line, by the way, is Aqua Pex, a newfangled tube that is flexible AND sturdy to 200 Psi. Neat eh?
