international signal flag series

a series of work still in progess, which, incorporates international signal flags with flags of nations and social and political content. although, i have amy own perception of these peices, it is not my wish to throw my opinion at the veiwer, but that the veiwer would, read the paintings through their own experience.

self portrait series

actually two different series...one evolved from the other.

flaggy shore

gessoed newspaper collaged with newspaper, charcoal, acrylic, pastel
this piece along with fossils and the self portrait series were all drug back and forth from flaggy shore and my studio in ireland so that i could work directly formthe environment...they were weighted down with rock so the winds off the ocean wouldnt take them...they survived working in the rain and wind and being rolled and unrolled etc. they are done through stream of consciousness...working in the peice and steppig back form it...seeing something in the piece and then working into it again.
