The sword I made, February 2001

This was way back when. Um... Sometime around February of 2001, is what the camera dated the picture. It's hard for me to believe, but I guess that seems about right. We used to practice in Frank's parent's back yard, and this is where this photo was taken. Ah... the green flannel. I loved that flannel. I bought it from our next-door neighbors at a garage sale when I was a freshman in highschool. It was four years old at that time. So, at the time of this photograph, it's 15 years old. Excellent.... I let it go shortly after this.

Lili is no longer with us. She died two and a half years ago, if I can believe that. I still love this photo of her and Gaston. It's in my apartment, the only one I ever had on my own.

Here is the moment before my ippon match earlier this year. This is the one that I did on my gimp toe. Yes, I had a 3-day-old break on my big toe in this picture. I am sickly proud of that.
