It seems to bloom in the spring and fall, with occasional flowers throughout the summer. We get about 10 flowers a year. The first year, we only got 1, it was trimmed back so far by the previous owners. This is from one large base trunk, but it has branched out everywhere. The flowers are small, red, and will cover the bush in the Spring. Since it's in the shade most of the day, it seems to do the least well, and is quite spindly and I would like to get it to be more bushy.
