The Birth of Eve
A whimsical piece, based on an event from Classical Gnostic mythology. Created via digital manipulation (Adobe Photoshop 7.0) of a pre-existing photograph (will post later for comparison).
Agnipuccha
The title comes from a Sanskrit term describing the tail or extreme point of a sacrificial fire arranged in the shape of a bird.
Heavy use of Photoshop's Ripple and Glass filters on this one.

untitled
The base photograph I used in creating Agnipuccha.
I took this photo while standing near the center of the annual Yule "Tree" in Zilker Park, Austin. My camera was on slow-shutter, so the lights turned out looking like lines.
The big yellow mass of "flame" near the lower corner is actually just the Tree's star.

========================
My original intent was to make what looked like a wellspring in the middle of a desert, but I screwed up during a save, and rather than start all over again I just forged ahead and wound up with...this. It's whatever you think it should be. ;-)
