My Didjeridus

The one on the left I bought at a Guitar Center in Arlington, Va. while I was still married (It's actually a heat-shaped PVC tube, but 99% of the time no one notices. ;-) ). Very light-weight, requires surprisingly little breath to sustain a drone, and I can perform a wide variety of sounds when playing it. I call it my "travel model."

The one on the right is a gift from an acquaintance in New Zealand, back when I frequented a message board called The House O' Chatter. This one's the real McCoy--made from the hollowed-out trunk of a eucalyptus tree, and heavy enough to double as a Club of Serious Bashing (2d8 damage, save vs. wands or be stunned for 1d6 rounds).

Unfortunately, it also requires a Hell of a lot more breath control than I currently have in order to sound right, so I don't use it all that often. Its value is primarily sentimental.

The base photograph I used in creating Agnipuccha.

I took this photo while standing near the center of the annual Yule "Tree" in Zilker Park, Austin. My camera was on slow-shutter, so the lights turned out looking like lines.

The big yellow mass of "flame" near the lower corner is actually just the Tree's star.

Cthulthu through the eyes of a Five-Year Old

My housemate's daughter Arrian drew this the day after I introduced her to my plushy Cthulhu. She even pronounced the name correctly, which is no small feat considering the proper pronunciation eludes many adults I've known.

I'm so proud of the little poppet. ;-)
