We took this while in the Taxi. It´s a really good example of the old, Colonial style buildings that can be found in the center of Peru.

This is the Cathedral of Lima - it was beautiful. We even got to see a room that usually isn´t open for the public.

Here´s Ignacio (our tour guide and coworker) and Jessica checking out the miniature catacombs found in the Cathedral. There are many important people buried here but there´s also some common graves - see next picture.

This is an example of a common grave. The bodies are cremated and then the bones that last through the burning end up here. In the other catacomb, where we weren´t allowed to take pictures, there were pits of bones that went down four meters.

Me and Jess at El parque de la muralla. This park commemorates the wall that used to surround Lima. Lima has outgrown that wall by a lot.

These were the women we worked with in the workshop. This group was working on how to recycle.

Jess and Lurdes organizing all the materials in La Casa de Panchita. Lurdes is the adopted daughter of two of the employees of La Casa and the adopted sister of Ignacio

Not exactly La Casa de Panchita, but this is the view from our hotel room in San Bartolo.

This is Elena working with some of the children during the sunday classes.

A shot of Johana, Sofia and Blanca (left to right) at Emily´s birthday dinner.

This was the view of Lima from the first place we visited in Las Pamplonas - the photo doesn´t do it justice.

This is a shot of a house in the nicer part of Las Pamplonas. Those stairs were a government project made to help people get to their houses way up on the hills.

This was one little boy who took it upon himself to give us a little tour. His grand finale was the back yard of his aunt, who has ducks.
