In the epic RP "Opposites Attract", written by Chakramchucker and Musachan, I would argue that Strong Bad is the most complex character. If anything, he is definately the character who is hurting the most. When he was on the website, he knew who he was. He was happy with himself. When he was hurled into the real world, he was shown that that he didn't know himself as well as he thought. As he became more and more human, he lost track of who he was. Suffering through and identity crisis makes one miserable, and this guy went through one right after the other. Turning human, facing several alter egos, having his memories erased, becoming a girl at one point, and coming to the realization that he was gay... all of these things slowly picked at him until he could take no more. He decided that he didn't want to be "Strong Bad" anymore: he wanted to be human, but more importantly, he wanted to know who he was. He couldn't find were all those things mentioned above fit in his identity as Strong Bad, so he made up a new one. The only problem in is plan was that his new identity was making him miserable. I'll tell you right now that forcing yourself to be something you're not hardens your heart, warps your mind, and makes your self esteem shit. I wanted to draw Strong Bad in a state of contemplation. Here he is, clutching his mask: the very face of what he used to be. He's wondering at what he has become, and what he should be. I wanted to give the impression of seclusion: in his mind, he is totally isolated. However, on the outside world, even though he is by himself, he is not alone. The door may be closed, but there is still a window (light source). There's even a little critter skittering on the wall. Still, he's too lost in thought to notice either.
