For my 9th grade self-portrait, I wore the same dress as in the first. My hair was getting curlier, but not yet quite as curly as it is now. I had taken to tying back the top half of it, as shown here, instead of wearing headbands. I still had braces, but my freckles seem to have faded. However, my eyes hadn't actually become suddenly unnaturally far apart; I just couldn't figure out how to position them quite right.
