Post-Lawsuit Lowpass Filter

This filter is not a clone of the ARP 4072 submodule. It does, however, have an identical topology with the same transistors and operational amplifier array. Some people may find this is close enough to use the "C" word but not here at STG Soundlabs, so in tribute to the origin of this filter design it is called the Post-Lawsuit Lowpass Filter.

And before you call to complain, let me point out that Post-Ambiguous-Legal-Action Lowpass Filter just didn't have the same ring.

Multiples

The Multiples panel consists of three sets of four phone jacks. Each set of jacks has been wired together: tip to tip, sleeve to sleeve.

This permits multiple distribution of one signal to several different places. This process is often called signal splitting. Multiples are used for many purposes; from linking two patch cords together, sending a single signal to several different modules at the same time, to doubling or tripling the amplitude of a signal by sending it X3 to a particular source.

Includes handy "slew outputs" (no ... not that kind of slew) to allow the channels to also function as a pair of AS envelopes with attack time set by time controls.

This module incorporates an adaptation by Yves Usson with a custom PCB by Detachment 3.

Noise Buffet

You never know what's going to be on the line. it could be 0v ... it could be a trigger ... it could be -3.4v ... whatever you can fit on the plate!

The Noise Buffet provides a smorgasbord of random signal flavours in one convenient 1 MU module. The top section features a granulated noise source. the rotary control increases the pile of noise grains until they overflow onto your placemat. the middle section features white noise in unfiltered, highpass, and lowpass variants. the third section of the module is a random trigger source ranging from very very very infrequent to kind of slow. there is also a gorgeous purple indicator LED for this trigger fountain.

Attenuators

The Attenuators panel consists of three passive circuits, each made of a 25k potentiometer (think of it as a variable resistor) between input and output. The signal input to the top attenuator is chained to the bottom two in series. Introduction of a phone plug into middle or bottom input breaks the normalling system: 1 to 1-2-3, 1-2 to 2-3, 1-2-3 to 1-2-3. this means that the module can also be used as an unbuffered distributor.
